2nd Birthday Party Return Gifts for Kids and Grown Ups

February 28, 2017 8 Comments

The pretend play themed birthday party for my daughter’s 2nd birthday was a super success with the kids. And so were the party favors or return gifts! Here is what the little ones and the grown ups took home to remember the fun-filled evening.

If you have read my previous post about the Pretend Play birthday party decor, you will know that I had a different theme in mind and planned the do in pink and gold. I had also shopped for pink return gifts for the girls which were still appropriate for the pretend-play party theme as well.

The little girls at the party received tutu bags.

If you are not limited to Pink like I was, I also liked their bundles of different colored tutu bags:

These tutu bags cannot be compared to the Ballerina bags I have reviewed earlier. These bags by Lil Pumpkins are made of felt and not of the same quality. They are also cheaper and perfect for giving as return gifts. Here are some more shots of these bags to give you a fair idea about them.

These bags are made of felt and have a velcro closure at the top.

In short, they are square felt bags cover with a layer of soft tulle or net. They are priced cheaper than cloth ballerina bags and are perfect for little girls of all ages. Our guests ranged from Ages 1 to 7 and they were all thrilled with the bags!

The boys received pencil pouches in Aqua color with a hat and moustache motif. These were also from Lil Pumpkins and available on Amazon.in.

Inside the tutu bags and pencil pouches were some more little items:

Paper Wallets, Card Games as Return Gifts

All the paper wallets and card games were purchased from FirstCry.com

Toy Puppies

In addition to the above, we also had the ‘Adopt a Puppy’ station where the kids took home a set of toy Dalmatians 🙂

Return Gifts for Grown Ups

I like to give return gifts to grown ups too. Especially family members like Grandparents, Aunts, Family Friends, the Kids’ Doctors etc. At this party, we gave them dehydrated fruit in pretty pink mason jars.

Pink Mason Jar Return Gifts for Grown Ups

I found these pretty pink plastic jars on Amazon.in! They come with a gift tag too. I used the gift tags to mention the item that I was filling in, and the manufacturing and expiry dates.

I was wondering what to put inside them. I thought of chocolates at first. But grandparents, especially my mom, I knew wouldn’t eat them. It would be my kids who would hunt them down in her house and finish them all up…lol! I wanted to give something unique and healthy, if possible. And besides, I had already done chocolates in a jar at another birthday party and did not want to repeat it.

Then I thought of this dehydrated fruit that is my latest crush. I ordered the Fresh dehydrated fruit from Big Basket once and had loved it. It looked like a great snack that people of all ages would enjoy. So I ordered plenty of packs to mix in.

They do have a ‘mixed’ pack but I don’t think it contains all varieties in equal quantities. So I made my own mixture.

I filled the mixed dehydrated fruit in the jars, placed a square paper on the lid and tied up with a rubber band first.

Then I covered the band with some pink polka dot tape that I had ordered as a set from Amazon for my craft projects.
