If you love DIY, then these costumes made with mostly paper and cardboard are something you will love to create! Some of them use other fibers and fabrics etc. but I have taken care to feature only those that can be recreated at home and don’t use ready-to-wear store-bought costumes.

This very elaborate Tree costume has demonstrated the Uses of Trees along with other creative details like an Owl in a Hollow and Birds in Nests and was a sure shot winner.

DIY Corn Costume (Bhutta/Corn on the Cob)
Use yellow and green construction/chart paper to create an adorable Corn costume.

For the kernels, stuff yellow paper with soft tissue paper or toilet paper and glue them to the body of the Corn costume.

Use thick yarn to tie the front and the back together and to make the costume wearable.

Cardboard Rocket Costume
You will need enough cardboard according to the size of your child and loads of aluminum foil to make this easy costume.

Tree Costume with a Message for Environment Conservation
You will need two large pieces of cardboard to create the front and back of this Tree costume.

On the front, paint the tree green and lively. On the back, show the effects of climate change by creating a lifeless, dry tree.
DIY Pizza Hut Chef Costume for Halloween
Fashion a Pizza Hut Chef costume using construction/chart paper.

You will need to make an Apron, a Chef Hat and a couple of pizzas. You can paint it to create any favorite Pizza brand name.
