2nd Birthday Party Cake and a Fun Activity for Grown Ups

March 1, 2017 2 Comments

Some more details from my daughter’s 2nd birthday party. Her lovely pastel cake with her favorite bunny on it. And a fun guessing game activity for the grown ups at the party πŸ™‚

2nd Birthday Cake

The cake for the party had all the possibility of being a damp squib. I learned on the last day that my baker was out of town. Her staff told me that they could not manage my request in her absence. I have been working with her since the first birthday party I ever organized and was unwilling to try someone new. So, I made major changes to the design of the cake to make it easier for her staff to make it.

It came out very lovely. But the original idea has a lot of ‘pretend play’ designing on it! Well, the birthday girl loved it and I couldn’t be happier πŸ™‚

‘Guessing Game’ Activity for Grown Ups

guess who activity

If you read my post on my kids ‘Guess Who’ photobook idea, you will remember that I mentioned I will be putting it to test on my daughter’s 2nd birthday. Well, that is just what I did! We quizzed grandparents, aunts, uncles and close family friends on who’s who. It was hilarious!

The photobook idea has garnered a lot of praise and was even featured on the Photojaanic blog :). All the guests were also full of praise and you can imagine how I must have grinned throughout the party!
