Keep Kids and Yourself Healthy with Seasonal Nashpati and Aloo Bukhara

August 6, 2019 3 Comments

With so many fruits becoming perennially available these days, it is easy to overlook our Desi seasonal fruits. But there are so many reasons why you shouldn’t let that happen and insist upon the entire family getting their share of the freshest, local produce. With jamun and litchi already gone, it’s time to make the most of Nashpati and Aloo bukhara.

Keep Kids Healthy with Monsoon Seasonal Indian Fruits Nashpati and Aloo Bukhara

Heart Healthy

Rich in minerals like sodium and potassium, Pears or Nashpati can improve blood circulation, strengthen the heart muscles and bring down blood sugar and cholesterol levels.

Good Skin

Plums or Aloo bukhara are also high in antioxidants, which protect the skin from sun damage.

Keep Diseases at Bay

Being a rich source of Vitamin C and Vitamin A, both plums and pears develop resistance against infectious agents, inflammation and free radicals in the body.

Diet Control

Their low caloric value and high fiber content makes them perfect for weight loss. The high fiber content in Pears and natural laxatives in Plums help with constipation and digestion issues also.

Eat Fresh, Seasonal, Local

Being healthy and keeping your kids healthy is easier by eating seasonal fruits. Fruits are fresh and obtained locally, which is why they are not plucked too early.

Eating seasonal is also an excellent way to reduce our carbon footprints. While our generation and the next one is fortunate enough to get to eat foods procured globally, we can lead the way by creating the perfect balance between eating global and local.
