Family Beach Vacation Packing List

September 18, 2019 3 Comments

We love traveling as a family! And as much as I love to travel almost everywhere with my brood, I tend to be slightly partial towards beach destinations. There are few family vacations where I can claim that my kids had as much fun as at the beach. The relaxed vibes and the natural playground, made up of sand and water, makes the beach a fun place to be.

Family Beach Vacation Packing List

If you are planning a beach vacation with your kids for the first time, here’s a handy family beach vacation packing list consisting of possibly everything you might want to take along, for maximum fun and a hassle-free vacation. I use this for all my beach vacation trips.

Family Beach Vacation Packing List

Essentials

  • ‌Hats
  • Thin scarf/stole (for hot sun, cold airports, windy boat rides)
  • ‌Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen (kids and adults)
  • sipper bottles or any water bottles (take them empty from home)
  • shampoo and conditioner (kids and adults)
  • ‌top to toe/ baby bath wash
  • ‌moisturizer (kids and adults)
  • ‌toothpaste and toothbrush (kids and adults)
  • comb
  • ‌dental floss
  • ‌safety pins
  • sewing kit
  • ‌shaving kit
  • ‌deodorant
  • ‌medicines (kids and adults)
  • ‌phones
  • ‌chargers
  • ‌hotel confirmation
  • ‌credit card
  • ‌passports

  • ‌health insurance cards

Clothes

  • ‌3 swimming costumes each

  • hair accessories
  • ‌light jackets
  • ‌crocs/flip-flops/sandals

In Beach Bag

Assemble some things separately in the beach bag so you don’t have to rush to the hotel every time you need something. Keep a water bottle to make sure kids stay hydrated on the beach.

  • ‌swim goggles
  • ‌dry cases for phone/money
  • sunscreen
  • ‌wet bag
  • ‌change of clothes
  • ‌wipes
  • ‌baby powder (gets sand off skin)
  • ‌sipper bottle
  • ‌snacks/nuts/candies
  • ‌beach toys

Food

Kids can get fussy especially when in a different country. I keep ketchup and jam in handy to make them eat most things. Milk is also available everywhere. Adding the kids’ favorite supplement to it makes them get their daily dose of milk. Sometimes, after long excursions, kids are too tired to stay awake for dinner. Or when they are not eating anything from the given options, I use the kettle in the hotel room to make them cup noodles or anything else that can be made by directly adding hot water to the cup.

  • ‌ketchup sachets
  • ‌jam sachets
  • ‌nuts, raisins, dates
  • ‌candies
  • ‌bournvita/other chocolate powder drink
  • d‌rinking straws
  • ‌chips
  • chocos or favorite cereal
  • ‌oreo/cookies
  • ‌cuppa noodles/poha/upma
  • energy bars
