Day and Night Outfits for an Indian Wedding Guest

February 21, 2016 Leave a Comment

Cocktail and DJ parties are becoming an inseparable part of Indian Wedding festivities. At a recent wedding in my family, here is what I wore as a guest.

Indian Wedding Guest Outfit Ideas

Indian wedding guest outfits have become quite varied these days. As an outstation guest, it is a constant struggle when trying to pack – and I was trying to pack for a family for 5! Every outfit required separate shoes for instance. Thankfully. both the outfits – the pink and orange floor length Anarkali dress and the AND by Anita Dongre gown did not require much jewelry. I kept my diamond studs and pendant with the maxi dress and traded only the studs with longer earrings for the traditional attire.

Both the outfits are also perfect for new moms as they provide the much needed camouflage while you struggle to get back in shape. The Anarkali is very forgiving and the fit and flare maxi dress deserves a special round of applause for its comfortable fabric and flattering fall that allowed for an evening full of dancing too!
