April 22, 2022 Leave a Comment

Parenting a newborn is one of the best feelings in the world. You wish to give your precious baby the best of everything. And more and more parents are becoming conscious of what goes into the products they use for their baby. They are choosing clean and healthy, chemical free baby products. Whereas the usual culprits like mineral oil and parabens are known to most, there is one more sneaky ingredient that parents need to beware of – Phenoxyethanol.
Phenoxyethanol - Why Parents Need to Beware Of It

What is Phenoxyethanol And Why Should You Avoid It?

Phenoxyethanol preservative is used in women’s hair care, skin care and makeup products and also in various newborn baby skin care products like creams, lotions, body wash and diaper rash cream etc. It is suspected of affecting the development of children as well as their reproduction system.

Children under 3 years of age are particularly exposed to the risks of this component indiap particular via the potentially irritated buttocks, when their nappies are changed. Their delicate skin requires only the best baby skin care products for sensitive skin free of all potential irritants.

Our Advice

Don’t take any chances and avoid all products that contain phenoxyethanol. An extra warning for the environmentally and health-conscious parents who only buy organic baby products: PHENOXYETHANOL CAN ALSO APPEAR IN NATURAL PRODUCTS. Strange, but true, we have found a lot of products containing phenoxyethanol casually touted as “100% natural and safe”. And not just babies, even breastfeeding moms and women in general need to choose phenoxyethanol free skin care.
