Decorating with Scented Drawer Liners

April 7, 2016 4 Comments

Adding that extra special touch to your drawers is very easy with drawer liners. For as long as I can remember, I have seen my mom lining drawers and cupboard shelves with newspaper or thicker paper like sheets from last year’s calendar. With the lovely options made available to us today, it is time to up the game and take drawer lining to a new level with scented drawer liners and make our drawers look ‘Oh So Pretty’!

You can use any paper or fabric to line your drawers. I have used scrapbooking paper from my craft supplies and even pretty wrapping paper to line and perk up my shelves. But I haven’t gone back to using them ever since I discovered scented drawer liner sheets. I make it a point to use them for my guest bedroom closet drawers and shelves whenever I have guests over.

Perfumed drawer liners are available as rolls of sheets which can easily be cut up to fit your drawers and shelves. I love mine by Crabtree and Evelyn. Their scent is very lovely and not at all overpowering. They are made of high quality paper which does not tear easily. The drawers and closets smell pleasant every time you open them and look lovely too. They are especially perfect for vintage dressers and drawers where you keep your prettiest stuff. They even work wonders for lingerie drawers and eliminate the need for potpourri sachets.

‘Nantucket Briar‘ by Crabtree and Evelyn is one of my personal favorite scents and I own it in many forms – from moisturizers and loose powder to home decor. Lavender is another one of my go-to scents and I use a lot of it. The rose drawer liners have a very mild and pleasant rose scent and the floral print is very refreshing to look at, in our hot weather.

Each pack has several sheets. You can measure your drawer and cut up the sheet to use and store the remaining in the box to retain the scent. I use a tiny bit of my handy ‘Magic Scotch Tape’ to tape the liner to the drawer bottoms.
