I did the 1 Day Detox by Zoe and Lost 2 kgs!

June 2, 2021 by Lata 4 Comments

The lockdown has had me neglecting my fitness and gaining a lot of weight. I have been planning to start intermittent fasting to tackle my belly fat but I somehow keep putting it off. I definitely need a little push. And I know I am not the only one in this predicament! I am sharing with you all in this blog how I brought my off-track diet back on track with a One Day Detox. The well-balanced One day detox kit by Zoe Nutrition seemed to be a good option to get started as they had amazing reviews by real customers.

My 1 Day Detox

Here are all the details of my Detox Day:

> I started the day at 7 am with oil pulling. Oil pulling is an ancient technique that involves swishing around oils in your mouth like a mouthwash. It helps in reducing the bacteria and the resulting plaque in your mouth and teeth. The detox kit contains a sweet orange and sesame seed oil pulling for you to use.

> After my morning routine of Pranayam (deep breathing exercises) and some light Yoga poses, I skipped the next step, which involved applying a Face mask, and went directly to a nutritious breakfast of Muesli at 9.30 am. I reserved the face mask for the more peaceful afternoon hours.

> At 10.30 am, I had a cup of Organic Kashmiri Green Tea which I loved!

> At about 11.30, I enjoyed a glass of refreshing Bael juice.

> All my morning housework taken care of, I proceeded to enjoy some relaxing moments applying my face mask and listening to my favorite music.

> At 1 pm, I went for my first glass of detox water which I was very skeptical about. To my surprise, I loved the Cinnamon and Chia Seeds Detox Water very much! I can get used to drinking this on a regular basis 🙂

> At about 2 pm, I sipped on a cup of the Daily Detox Darjeeling Green Tea as I took care of some tasks on my computer.

> Just as I was beginning to feel a little hungry, it was time for the Organic Sattu Soup. I had the delicious soup at 3.15 pm.

> After a short nap, I woke up and it was time for my next glass of Detox water. At 5.30 pm, I had the Carom and Cumin Seeds Detox Water which was also amazing. My favorite remains the Chia seeds detox water though but it is nice to mix things up!

> At 6.30pm, I was introduced to one of my favorites from the one day detox kit – the Phalsa Juice! The juice is cooling, calming and instantly energizing! It gave me the required energy to play 5 rounds of ‘Cluedo’ with my kids before dinner time lol 🙂

> By dinner time, I was feeling a little hungry again. The Aam Panna at 8.30 pm gave me instant energy. The kids wanted to skip their dinner and share my Aam Panna as well but that was not going to happen – It’s Mamma’s day today!

> I still needed to take care of some emails and random work on my laptop. The Yoga Tea at 10 pm kept me company while I finished the daily tasks and called it a day.

The Results

I woke up this morning feeling extremely light and active. My face feels de-bloated and I just checked my weight – I lost 2 kgs! Of course, this is only water weight and I need to keep up with my consistent efforts to lose weight. But this was a much needed jumpstart. And all this – without any dieting or exercise.

The soups and juices kept me full, although I took care not to exert myself too much on the day of my detox. At no point did I feel starved or weak. As soon as I would feel hungry, it would be time for the next item on the menu.

I have made detox water at home in lots of different ways, using any combination of fruits, vegetables and herbs and it helps me a lot to reduce post delivery weight.
