Toy Review: DIY 3D Santa Claus by Toiing

December 10, 2016 by Lata 4 Comments

Christmas is HUGE in my house! Part of it has to do with the fact that I have been an international blogger/web publisher for 13 years now and my kids have grown up seeing me craft and decorate for many holidays. December is full of Christmas for my kids and I plan plenty of themed activities of them. A recent Christmas craft activity that we undertook was the DIY 3D Santa Claus by Toiing. Toiing is making really creative 3D ‘craftoi’s and I was excited to review their latest creation made specially for the festive Christmas time. Read on to know more about this lovely and easy-to-do craft kit for kids 🙂

Toy Review: DIY 3D Santa Claus by Toiing

DIY 3D Santa Claus by Toiing

The DIY 3D Santa Claus craft kit by Toiing comes as one large sheet of thick paper that contains everything you need (except glue, that is!).

The pieces required to make your 3D masterpiece are pre-cut and pre-scored. The kids simply need to pop them out, fold and glue them.

Pressing out the shapes

As opposed to most other DIY craft kits for kids that make 2D creations, Toiing creates innovative kits that make 3D figures.

An easy instruction sheet shows what goes where.

Being able to prop their creations and use them to decorate a surface, is a thrilling experience for children! They take pride in displaying their creation 🙂

Almost Done

The kit is perfect for kids aged 3 and up and my 6 year old was able to do this almost without any help. That is, I helped hold the cutouts while he glued or waited for the glue to dry. The entire craft took about 15 to 20 minutes to accomplish and the smiles were plenty at each stage of completion!

Beyond Crafting – Christmas Spirit

DIY 3D Santa Claus Craft Kit by Toiing

Pretty enough to display in the Living Room with other Christmas decorations!

The DIY 3D Santa Claus craft kit does more than just help your children make a 3D Santa Claus. It brings with a lot of Christmas cheer and educates kids about the real spirit of Christmas. The opening lines to introduce the kit is a verse from my favorite Christmas song:

You’d better watch out. You’d better not cry.

Better not pout, I’m telling you why!

Santa Claus is coming to town!

These lines instantly take me to the scene in ‘Polar Express’ (our family’s favorite Christmas movie) when Santa Claus finally makes an appearance.

Once the craft is done with, turn the page over to read a very interesting Christmas story – the story of the real Santa Claus. Kids love to create a wishlist and ask Santa for dozens of things. With this story, they will learn about the goodness and humanity which turned a young Nicholas into Santa Claus as we know him today. They are sure to be touched by the story which will help them celebrate Christmas beyond the material attractions of it.

Affordable, Engaging and Easy-to-Achieve

For a price of just INR 125, the DIY 3D Santa Claus by Toiing makes a fabulous return gift too! Especially if you plan to throw a Christmas party or have a December celebration at your house. You can shop for the DIY 3D Santa Claus at two of my favorite online shopping websites:

FirstCry

PepperFry

Hmm…I didn’t realize until just now that the two names rhyme 🙂

    Hey Lata!

What an awesome piece of writing
Loved the whole idea of making the Santa Claus.

The best part is narrating the story after making the Santa. Will surely bring one for my kid as she turns 3.
