Sipahh Straws India – Review + Giveaway

April 24, 2017 by Lata 18 Comments

A Glass of milk, a spoonful of sugar, a spoonful of flavoring powder – that must be the morning routine in your house too because it surely is in mine. Well, how about a Glass of milk and a straw? No, my kids wouldn’t drink plain milk either. But what if the straw itself flavors the milk? And with less than half teaspoon sugar? Yes, that’s what Sipahh straws do! Let’s sweeten things will a full review and then sweeten even more with a chance for you to try them!

Sipahh Straws India - Review + Giveaway

Sipahh Straws India Review

Sipahh Milk Flavoring Straws, originally from Australia, are disposable straws that contain flavor granules that dissolve and make the milk yummy when you sip through them. I will be reviewing a multipack of 10 milk flavoring straws containing 5 different flavors.

Sipahh Milk Flavoring Straws India

Let’s take a look at the packaging to find out some more about Sipahh straws. Well the first thing the kids read were the flavors, of course! But we will come to that a little later. Moms will notice some other wonderful things about these flavoring straws.

Sipahh Straws India Packaging

Here are some things I loved about Sipahh:

  1. No Artificial Colors
  2. No Artificial Flavors
  3. No Preservatives
  4. Less than 1/2 tsp sugar in each straw
  5. Fuss free milk flavoring – no spoons, sugar, flavored powders and no mixing!
  6. Gluten Free
  7. Works with warm and cold milk
  8. Very easy for carrying along when traveling
  9. Different flavors to enjoy in each pack
  10. Has 4.5 Stars on the Health Star Rating

Sipahh Straws India - Low Sugar Content

Yes, this is one of the best things about Sipahh. You actually end up using much less sugar than you normally do, for your kids milk. I fail badly at controlling the amount of sugar my kids consume and this product is very much welcome because of this single feature although I am unsure about giving Sucralose to kids. I believe only one flavor contains it but it is not very clear.

And now, on to what’s actually inside!

The first glimpse!

Flavors

Sipahh Straws India - Flavors

There you have it – 2 straws each in 5 different flavors.

  1. Luscious Strawberry
  2. Cocoa Bean Chocolate
  3. Fruit Salad Swirl
  4. Lamington Dream – Chocolate+Coconut
  5. Hello Marshmallow

Sipahh Straws India - Flavors

Each straw is individually packaged and should be consumed within 24 hours of opening the package. Ours was gone as soon as I was done taking the pics!

The straws look and smell distinctly of their respective flavors.

Right from the outer package to the individual packages and the favor beads in the straws, the light pastel colors look very attractive.

Lamingtons are Australia’s most popular and classic dessert. I was glad to see the flavor incorporated in the Aussie product.

The Chocolate and the Lamington straws were the first ones to disappear.

Taste Test

The novelty of the concept intrigued the kids. They had had flavored straws years ago and they were either bought from abroad or stores that sell imported food stuff. But once the novelty was gone, the kids did not take to the taste much. Unfortunately, my kids do not appreciate the American and Australian tastes of sweets. They are more into the Swiss/European taste.

Sipahh Milk Flavoring Straws India

The next day, the kids got experimental and started mixing the flavors! Strawberry and Fruit Salad in cold milk make a perfectly refreshing flavor for summer but like I said, it lasted only until the novelty wore off. There was this lingering taste of Sucralose on the tongue until long after.

Have you tried Sipahh? Let me know your experiences in the comments so we can compare notes.

The Story Behind Sipahh Straws

I was ready to bet that a mom came up with this idea. Getting kids to drink their milk is a major task for moms. My kids love their milk but not plain. And I cannot really blame them because I did the same when I was a child. So I figured it had to be a mom. But I am glad I did not bet. It was actually a genius dad who came up with this idea!

Wow what a concept! At first I thought these were some flavored chocolates, however this is more interesting. Worth experimenting with my little one. Your review makes the concept clear that they would not harm the baby anyhow.

It’s actually a solution of one of the biggest problem of moms (making kids finish their milk ). Biggest advantage here is they are easy to carry and my baggage is reduced while travelling. Never heard of something like this before. Would definitely love to try
