The end of summer vacations is just another reason to shop for the kids! I enjoy the back to school shopping for my kids. The new school bags, lunch boxes, water bottles, fresh new uniforms, shoes and everything else adds to the excitement of going to school. Often, I shop for school supplies on a particular theme depending upon my kid’s current interests. This year, the shopping featured mainly a Superhero and a ‘Black and Pink’ theme. Here’s my haul for you all to see 🙂

Avengers/Superhero Themed School Supplies
Ever since before his 3rd birthday, my son hasn’t been fond of many things other than superheroes. Spider-man is his favorite and joining the list are the Avengers team. We had to have them all. I showed him his options online and wasn’t surprised what he chose.
Back to School Shopping on an Avengers Theme for my Little Superhero
Avengers School Bag from ‘My Baby Excel’ which is a division of ‘Movies and More’. The bag itself is excellently made and has Avengers’ icons throughout the sides and the back. The zipper pulls also have the ‘Avengers’ logo.
The Avengers School Bag came with a lovely surprise – a Free DVD!
Since none of the Avengers merchandise had Spider-man on it, an Spider-man we must have – we went in for a Spidey Pencil Pouch
Avengers Lunch Box and Water Bottle Kit – The box has a smaller box for side dishes, and a Spoon inside. The bottle can be used as a sports bottle or the top can completely come off turning it into a tumbler for easy drinking.
This Blue Car themed folder pouch is for those innumerable times that the children are asked to bring stuff for a particular project or a competition. I keep hunting for a pouch perfectly sized to send the stuff in. This year, I bought one in advance to have at hand.
Hot Pink and Black School Supplies
My daughter is exactly the typical pre-teen who shuns anything ‘babyish’. Only a few years ago, we did a ‘Ariel – the Little Mermaid’ theme for her school supplies. Now, she won’t have anything to do with a ‘cartoon character’. She imagines herself all grown up and wanted a plain looking backpack from American Tourister. I tried to appeal to her artistic and fashionable senses and showed her more grown up designs. True to her newly acquired grown-up taste, she settled on a Hot Pink and Black school bag from Genius Bags (I always buy their bags, especially for my girl) and we then selected other school supplies to match.

The bag is made of light-weight and waterproof fabric. The fabric is pretty thin and not like the heavy fabric of bags I have purchased from Genius previously. I hope this is the result of improved technology and not a defect!
Hot Pink Pencil Pouch and File Folder by Aayera’s Nest. The Pencil pouch is very spacious and roomy and that’s what my daughter needs. She is an art lover and carries a lot more than just a pen and a pencil to school. The A4 sized pouch can hold many things for school projects and when going for competitions. It is also perfect for holding my little girl’s stationery for letter writing or her art kit.

I will review the Sistema Quaddie Lunch Box and sipper bottle in a separate post. For now it will suffice to say that they are both of superb quality, very functional and the hot pink matches our theme perfectly. These will be in addition to a slimmer lunch box and the collapsible lunch boxes I have previously reviewed.

OMG kids shopping I find it difficult task with your kid..when ever my daughter visited to super market she got crazy and filled our kart with cryons, exam board and toys so I prefer to go alone .I never tried hot pink color always brought red or baby pink color school bag..m surely gonna try hot pink

All school stuffs chosen by your kids are Good , similar to ones which my kids buy before reopening of their school .
Every year in June we do lots of shopping for Back to school , Girls Love Pink and Boy loves Blue and we chose products accordingly , keeping in mind both budget and their happiness quotient & excitement .
It’s fun, isn’t it, Ghazala? I compare all prices online several times…lol. I check and re-check for sales and discounts on every major portal!
